Dr. R. P. Shanmugam, pioneer in the field of Surgical Gastroenterology has more than 5 decades of experience in providing quality health care. He is the first certified surgical gastroenterologist of the India. He also performed the first ever Liver transplant in the country at Stanley Medical College way back in 1996. He has touched many lives through his surgical expertise and service mindedness. He is highly regarded among the medical fraternity for providing quality and personalised service to his patients. A high achiever, Prof. Shanmugam has a passion and genuine interest in serving people.
